Woodrow Wilson

Woodrow Wilson School served students in grades K-12 in the 30′s and 40′s. The last high school class to graduate was in 1950. Undergraduate students in high school were given an option to finish their high school years at other area schools: South Bend Central, Washington, Greene Township and New Carlisle. When the South Bend Community School Corporation was formed in the early 1960′s Wilson was an elementary school. The building shown here was demolished in the 1990′s and today a modern elementary school is located on the site. Those who attended Wilson have a lot of pride in their school, and the friendships they made have been lasting. Former students meet biannually for a reunion, and the attendance is very good.
