The Lunch Club is a monthly activity of the South Bend Alumni Association for members and friends who want to socialize and enjoy a good meal with friends, classmates and colleagues. The program consists of conversation, lunch and entertainment. Alums from all schools are invited.
Entertainment is provided by students of the South Bend Community School Corporation – or we will have a speaker with information about our community. Appropriate casual dress is expected.
The Lunch Club will take a break in January, when winter weather often makes travel precarious. Monthly luncheons will resume in February, when a jazz ensemble from Jefferson Intermediate Center will entertain. The February 9 menu has not been decided yet.
Members who are current on their dues are sure to get a postcard or e-mail reminder of the monthly Lunch Club programs. If you’re not sure when your membership expires, either check your membership card or look on your Lunch Club postcard. Next to your name on the address label you’ll find your expiration date. If the date says, for example, 2016-Dec, that means you are paid up through December 2016. If it says 2015-Aug, that means your membership expired in August 2015. For further information, contact the Alumni office at 393-6004.
If you recently took a special trip, celebrated a landmark occasion or scratched something off your bucket list, we’d like to hear about it. Likewise, if you want to boast about the accomplishments of your child or grandchild, let us know. We want the Lunch Club Reporter to be a feature you enjoy, but also one that you contribute to. If you have news to share or want us to announce something, contact the Alumni office at 393-6004, or send it to us at South Bend Alumni Association, 215 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., South Bend, IN 46601.
Make sure you thank the folks at South Bend Chocolate Company
for their generous donation of door prizes every month.
