We can post here only the information sent to us by planners. If you send us information we will post it to be of help to the many people who call asking about their class gatherings. It costs you nothing, and we don’t ask you to participate…This is a service to the graduated classes of our schools.
Class of 1994
The Class will hold its 20th reunion on Saturday, June 28, 2014, in the newly renovated Upper Deck Suite at Coveleski Regional Baseball Stadium, located in downtown South Bend. Ticket price is $80 per person for all of the weekend events. They include an informal gathering on the night of June 27, at a time and place to be announced. On Saturday, a family picnic is planned tentatively from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Potawatomi Park. After lunch, a guided tour is planned of the renovated Adams High School. The main event will be a dinner and dance from 6 to 11 p.m. June 28 at the Upper Deck. A live DJ will provide entertainment, and the evening will include a catered meal and open bar. The Silver Hawks will be hosting a baseball game that night, followed by fireworks, so reunion attendees will have ideal seats to watch both. For other details, visit the reunion website, http://johnadamseagles94.com.
The Central High School All-Class Reunion took place on June 28. More than 500 alums attended. The date already has been set for next year’s gathering: June 27, 2014, at the Sts. Peter and Paul Serbian Church Hall. Save the date.
We said our last reunion would be the last one, but then changed our mind. The class will mark the 60th anniversary of its graduation with a picnic on August 16, 2014, at Clay Park on Laurel Road (north of Healthwin Hospital). We will rent a covered open-air pavilion from 1 p.m. until dark. There is plenty of parking, and you can BYOB. We’ll grill hot dogs and have side dishes. The $10 cost will cover the pavilion reservation fee and the food. You can mail your check to Frances Rinehart, 52327 Lilac Road, South Bend, IN 46628, or contact her at (574) 272-7715, or via email, Rinehart.firstname.lastname@example.org. Don’t want to plan a ‘full out’ Reunion?
Here’s an alternative….. consider the
South Bend Alumni Association Lunch Club
Reunion planners who don’t want the expense and work involved with a reunion should consider a gathering of classmates at the Lunch Club. We will set up a table for your class and you may bring in decorations, cake, etc. Contact the Alumni Office for details. A few classes from Central have done this with good success. The entire crowd usually joins in a tribute to the class by helping to sing the school song.
