Gabriel Hernandez will speak at the September Lunch Club about the process he went through to become a U.S. citizen. It’s a timely topic, with President Trump vowing again to build a wall along the Mexican border and to ban immigrants from certain Muslim-dominated nations.
The lunch will take place on Thursday, September 14, at the South Bend Elks Lodge. The menu will feature beef stroganoff over noodles, along with peas and mushrooms. Pie will be served as dessert. Tilapia is offered as an alternate entree, but it must be ordered in advance. Cost of the lunch is $12 for SBAA members, $14 for non-members, and half price for first-time attendees. Doors open at 11 a.m., and the lunch will be served at noon. Why not bring a friend?
