no one can take it away from you”

The SBAA has awarded the 2021 TCU Superintendent’s Scholarship and the Jack M. Champaigne Scholarship to two extremely deserving John Adams High School seniors.
Brianna Woods is the recipient of the 2021 TCU Superintendent’s Scholarship. Brianna will be attending Indiana University in the fall, studying to become a neonatal nurse. Her love of caring for infants came from having a large family, her love of life, and caring for people. According to Brianna, she loves to learn about interesting diseases, and through that learning, she believes she can make the greatest impact on the world. We are so excited for Brianna and proud to be able to award her with this $5,000 scholarship!
Sophia Pirela is the recipient of the 2021 Jack M. Champagne Scholarship. Sophia will be attending Purdue University in the fall studying nutrition and dietetics, minoring in psychology. She has a passion for caring for others, and Sophia desires to help those struggling with eating disorders.
We are so thrilled for Sophia and proud to be able to award her with this $5,000 scholarship on behalf of one of our SBAA Board Members, Mr. Jack Champaigne. We thank him for his generosity in supporting the students of South Bend Community School Corporation!
The Jack M. Champaigne Scholarship is an annual scholarship of $5,000 awarded to a graduating Adams senior accepted to study at a Purdue University campus.
Through the generosity of our community partners, as well as events such as the annual Superintendent’s Golf Tournament and the South Bend Community Hall of Fame Banquet, we are able to support the students of South Bend Community Schools through the Co-Ex Grant and the Scholarship Program. We are grateful for each and every one of you.
