Scholarships
The South Bend Alumni Association offers scholarships to graduating seniors in the South Bend Community School Corporation. All of our scholarship recipients have been accepted to institutions of higher learning, have demonstrated both a willingness to work hard and a history of service, have a defined educational goal, and are in need of financial assistance. All SBAA scholarships are paid to the post-secondary school; no funds are awarded directly to an individual.
The South Bend Alumni Association encourages graduates and friends of education to support this scholarship program by making a contribution to the South Bend Alumni Association.
Congratulations to the 2024 Scholarship Recipients!
Evelyn Ringer
South Bend Alumni Association Scholarship
Evelyn is a graduate of Riley High School and will be majoring in Animal Science at the University of Missouri. She has already been pre-admitted to the university’s Veterinary School and will be attending graduate school there.
During her time at Riley, she was a four-year varsity member in both soccer and tennis. She also served as class president all four years and held the position of vice president of the student council during her senior year. Evelyn dedicated four years to the Riley band, culminating in receiving the prestigious Sousa award, which recognizes the top player in the band.
“I am immensely grateful for my counselor, Ms. Cruse, and all my teachers, notably Mrs. Simoni, who wrote countless letters of recommendation and guided me on my path to college. I feel incredibly blessed to have such a supportive community around me, aiding me on my educational journey.”
