On October 20th, Teachers Credit Union and the South Bend Alumni Association partnered with PEGGS for the first annual Thank-a-Teacher event. PEGGS provided over 300 delicious boxed breakfasts, and volunteers from TCU, the SBAA, and the South Bend School Administration handed them out to South Bend School teachers before school. The goal was to celebrate our teachers’ efforts to educate our students, especially amid the challenges of virtual and hybrid learning, and to recognize their incredible commitment.
The SBAA would like to thank TCU and PEGGS for their partnership and for bringing this event to fruition and to all of our wonderful volunteers. We are all extremely proud of our teachers and hope that this event will become an annual occurrence!
