SBAA ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The 2022 SBAA Scholarships have been awarded!

Grace Regulinski is the recipient of the Jack M. Champaigne Scholarship. Grace is a Riley High School graduate who will be attending Purdue University in the fall.

Matthew Williams II is the recipient of the TCU Superintendent’s Scholarship and Matthew is also from Riley High School. He will be attending the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Hats off to the faculty, staff and Principal Henderson for the great work they’ve done to prepare their students for success!

We had a tremendously talented group of students submit applications for the 2022 scholarships, and these decisions are always so difficult. We are grateful for ALL faculty, staff, administrators and principals who are dedicated each day to their students’ success!

CO-EX GRANTS & COMMUNITY SERVICE

The Adams Show Choir volunteered its time by preparing a meal for the Ronald McDonald House Charities, after receiving a Co-Ex Grant for new choir dresses.

Choir members created a menu, purchased all the ingredients for the meal and then prepared it in one of the kitchens at Adams. They then transported food to the Ronald McDonald House for an evening meal.

The Adams Quiz Bowl team, after receiving a Co-Ex Grant for registration and travel expenses for the national tournament, volunteered its time by collecting items for the school’s “closet” to assist students and families in need.

Congratulations on an incredible season, Eagles!

CREATE AN ACCOUNT TO STAY UP-TO-DATE ON YOUR HIGH SCHOOL CLASSMATES & REUNIONS

“The South Bend Alumni Association high school websites will be seven years old in July 2022. The seven public schools have over 101,800 classmate names and senior photos posted, with more being added each day.

The goal is to provide means for all classmates to connect individually with private or public postings as well as collectively by announcing reunions and related activities including posting upcoming classmate birthdays as well as obituaries.

An important aspect of classmate profiles is the recording of high school memories and later life in college, travels, military service, employment, marriage and children etc. These stories are very important to your fellow classmates, your family and future generations. Give some thought to review your story and update it. Your grandchildren will be very happy to read them.

You can leave comments in the “In Memory” section for a classmate, however, they will not be reading it. You may want to send the message now while you are both “above ground”. It’s like sending a smile electronically. They may be waiting for a hug or your good news.

We depend on yearbooks donated to scan and store in our reference libraries. All South Bend Schools for all years. Also, hundreds of our school newspapers have been scanned and searchable. Please donate any that you may find.”
