“We make a living by what we get,
but we make a life by what we give.”
– Winston Churchill
On a rainy night in September, nearly 600 people joined together after 18 months of social distancing and quarantine to finally celebrate and honor the 34th Annual South Bend Community Hall of Fame Inductees and Honorees.
Precautions were still at the forefront of the evening at the South Bend Century Center. However, reconnecting with friends and colleagues to truly celebrate the individuals who have been so instrumental in leading, inspiring and educating our community to greatness was the focus of the night! We are so very grateful for all of the past and present Inductees and Honorees who make our community thrive.
While we spent much of the evening giving accolades to our Inductees and Honorees, we also celebrated our Hall of Fame Committee Chairman, James Kapsa. Mr. Kapsa has led the search and selection of the Inductees as well as the planning and logistics for the past 35 years. And this year, he decided it would be his last. We are eternally grateful to Jim Kapsa for his many years of dedication, commitment and investment to the Hall of Fame banquet and to the Alumni Association. It has been a tremendous gift and privilege to work with him!
