AEP Foundation Elementary Field Trip Fund

We are thrilled to announce an exciting new initiative to enrich elementary school education—the AEP Foundation Elementary Field Trip Fund. Beginning in January 2024, the SBAA will begin providing grants to fund field trips that spark exploration, discovery, and real-world learning for elementary students. Through immersive trips to museums, nature centers, historical sites, and more, children gain exposure to new people, places, ideas, and hands-on activities that textbooks simply cannot provide. Field trips open impressionable young minds, foster curiosity and problem-solving, build background knowledge, and provide a gateway to new interests and passions.

With field trip funding often restricted for elementary schools, our AEP Foundation Elementary Field Trip Fund aims to make these imagination-expanding experiences more equitable and accessible to students. Indiana Michigan Power, an AEP company, demonstrates a commitment to supporting local initiatives and organizations, further elevating quality of life and ensuring our community has the opportunity to succeed.
