EVENT RECAP
Sponsorships last year exceeded those of past years. Some of the sponsorships included not just the banquet, but funding for the newly designed Wall of Fame in Century Center, which was unveiled on the night of the banquet. The convention facility had pledged half the estimated $50,000 cost of renovating the Wall, provided that the SBAA could raise the other half. The banquet enabled us to reach that goal.
We extend special thanks to Burkhart Advertising, the Communications Co., WNIT and the Center for History for their special contributions to the new Wall of Fame. SBAA Board members Ryan Kring and Dan Schmidtendorff spearheaded the renovation effort and worked tirelessly to finish the wall in time for the banquet.
The Alumni Association’s Co-Ex Grants program, funded from proceeds of the Hall of Fame Banquet, provides grants to those activities. In exchange, students are required to perform community service as a pay-back. Check out the Co-Ex Grant page for more information.
